Verandah.  Nice sized table, note the binoculars (provided in a suite) and Panama Canal bun (yummy), Cups from Neptune contained coffee from the magic coffee machine. I was concerned that the lower part of the balcony wall being metal (instead of the wall being all plexiglass) would diminish the "verandah experience" but it didn't! Photos 2011

We had deluxe verandah suite 016. It has been beautifully updated—new couch, carpet, bathroom counter, curtains and more. It was very spacious and had tons of cupboards and closets. We slept well, but it was a little noisy in the morning. I could hear some kind of service door opening in the hallway and deck chairs scrapping on the Lido deck above. But at least this got us up at a decent hour. Photos 2010

Statendam 049 cabin which is on the Navigation Deck.  Terrific cabin.  Loved the location.  A few steps away from the aft elevators that take you right to the Lido.We sailed 12/21/2009 from Fort Lauderdale to San Diego on the Statendam.  This was our 1st HAL cruise and was 18 days from Fort Lauderdale to San Diego.  Loved HAL.  Looking forward to our next cruise on HAL. We are very pleased with our 1st HAL experience. Photos December 2009
