On Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Westerdam, Oosterdam, Prinsendam, Zuiderdam: Every single Stateroom has a cooler (HAL does not like to use the word refrigerator as they don't get as cool as some medicines that require "refrigeration" need... but they will get beverages cold...) [ On the rest of the HAL fleet (and note the above says NIEUW AMSTERDAM... NOT Amsterdam ) If it has a verandah, it has a cooler! [ [ To make the Stateroom Pages themselves less graphic intensive they are divided by Deck Number. Please click on the Deck Number to see the stateroom photos for that particular deck. [

We are in an "S" class cabin, across from the Neptune Lounge. This certainly would be easy to get used to! We have only our upgrade to a suite on Eurodam for comparison, but the suites are a bit different on the "S" class:
- There seems to be about the same amount of space, but it is organized a bit differently. There are more closets and drawers on Ryndam, but the bathroom is smaller, with only a tub and not a separate shower, and only a single sink vanity instead of double.
Stateroom power plugs. I only was able to find three of these: One is at the end of the long dresser, near the head of the bed and the second is at the dressing table. Both are dual 110v/220v plugs. The third plug is at the left end of the light fixture over the vanity in the bathroom, also dual voltage.
- The balcony seems just as wide, but a bit deeper. Also, there is no
plexiglass railing, only a low steel one. And, I had brought a squeegee
to clean off the spray -- oh well, I'll save it for another cruise. Photos

S 033 Deluxe Verandah Suite Stateroom Deck 10

Deluxe Verandah Suite S 033 was a great cabin, nice location midship,
overall very similar to S 018 from a previous trip, but everything was
opposite. It was nice and close to the Neptune lounge which was very
handy. The only problem/complaint with the suite was with the issues we
had with the pull-out bed. The beds are designed with wooden slats
that go across and for some reason they kept falling out or breaking.
We had 4 to the cabin, jsut as we did in S 018 and no problems with that
bed. Unfortunately this time we had to call and have someone come
fix it three times and it made for a couple very poor nights sleep.
The crew handled it well and did their best to try and fix it. I
would assume this issue will be addressed on the next refit. Aside
from that I would highly reccommend S 033!!

S 043 Deluxe Verandah Suite Stateroom Deck 10 Navigation

The location of Ryndam S 043 was towards the rear of the suites.
Consequently, the jutout from the deck above blocked some of the sunshine
and views. S 045 would have had more of the overhang. Other than
that, it was fabulous!
